I'm an Aussie ex-pat who has been following the crisis in Gaza since the 2008 invasion by Israel.
As an activist on social media for Palestinian rights I couldn't' let the opportunity to actually visit Gaza & it's people pass by when CAPJPO - EuroPalestine & CodePink announced the opportunity to participate in their solidarity delegation as part of International Women's Day.
The aim is to visit in solidarity with the women of Gaza and deliver much needed wind-up & solar lamps.
I hope you'll join me on my journey with these wonderful women as I blog via words & photos on this (hopefully not) once in a lifetime delegation for peace.

In terms of material aid, we ask for cash donations. They will serve in particular to buy lamps (dynamo, solar energy, or both) to be delivered by the delegation. Due to the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip, the production of electricity in the country is very small indeed, and the inhabitants thereof are reduced to living long hours in the dark.
Examples of lamps (cost range from 10 to 22 euros) You can donate these lamps or the money to buy them at rallies and meetings in different cities.
